Bleu Lavande (Stanstead, Eastern Townships)
Bleu Lavande has the distinction of being the largest lavender farm in Canada. Stroll through its fields of true lavender, and let yourself be swept up in this sea of flowers with their appeasing perfumes. For an even more relaxing experience, you can get a massage with the essential oil, on site.
Montréal Botanical Garden (Montréal)
Recognized as one of the largest botanical gardens in the world, the Montréal Botanical Garden, with its 75 hectares (185 acres), is a veritable sea of green space in the heart of the city. Boasting some 22,000 plant species and cultivars, this site will amply quench your thirst for horticulture. Take the time to wander through the thirty-some themed gardens including the First Nations Garden, the Chinese Garden and the 10 exhibition greenhouses. Inhale the scents at will and be enchanted by the beauty and serenity of this magical place.
Reford Gardens / Jardins de Métis (Grand-Métis, Gaspésie)
Reford Gardens is at once a national historic site and a tiny piece of flora paradise. Discover the many gardens that make up this spectacular place that is home to some 3,000 species and varieties of indigenous and exotic plants displaying an endless array of colours and scents. Some of the plants can even be found on the menu at the Villa Estevan restaurant. Chef Pierre Olivier Ferry will delight you with his specialties that follow the flowering season, including his miraculous amuse-bouche that combines 15 edible plants in a single bite! During the International Garden Festival, held every summer at the Reford Gardens, you will be absorbed in inspiration, as visual art, architecture, design landscaping and nature are shown off in their full glory.
