Montréal and Québec bars

Québec boasts the most vibrant nightlife in Canada! Open until 3 a.m., its bars, microbreweries, dance clubs and boîtes à chansons get people dancing, savouring and singing. Whether you find yourself in Montréal, Québec City or elsewhere, you’ll love Quebecers’ hospitality and cheerfulness.

Bar-hopping at its finest…

In Montréal, several bars set up shop around lively areas, such as Plateau-Mont-Royal (Saint-Denis and Saint-Laurent streets and Mont-Royal Avenue), Old Montréal, downtown (Crescent Street) and the Gay Village (Sainte-Catherine Street East). Montréal features countless terraces, some of which offer breathtaking views. These include Terrasse Place d’Armes and Terrasse Nelligan in Old Montréal, SIX Resto Lounge overlooking the Quartier des spectacles, Les Enfants Terribles downtown, and the Sky Pub in the Gay Village. Jazz lovers should definitely stop by resto-bar House of Jazz. Lastly, Saint-Denis Street bar Bistro à Jojo is Montréal’s top spot for blues music.

Historic Québec City also has a lot to offer, with its many bars in the Basse-Ville and Saint-Roch neighbourhoods, as well as on Saint-Jean Street and the Grande Allée, which lights up after sundown thanks to legendary bar Le Dagobert. Le Ciel! bistro-bar tournant offers an aerial, panoramic view of the city and its fortifications. Come have a drink on a terrace while soaking your feet at La Cour arrière du Festibière, an original and refreshing concept! Music fans flock to Le Piazz and Pub Saint-Alexandre, two bars where the songs never stop. Looking for a unique outing with your friends? Then be sure to come chill out at the Hôtel de glace Ice Bar!
