The Christmas Markets to Discover

Sparkling lights, Christmas carols and the scent of evergreens will envelop you at this year’s Christmas markets. They are the perfect place to find that unique gift, made by Québec artists. What’s more, they are free and a great way to spend some time outdoors. Here are a few suggested Christmas markets to help you soak up the magic of the holidays.

Nutcracker Market.
Come and meet the characters from The Nutcracker as you browse thousands of gift ideas!
From November 28 to December 8.

Noël dans le parc
Christmas Market, free outdoor events, poetry, bonfires and much more. Children will enjoy the festive setting and parents will relive the Christmases of their youth. Take the opportunity to pick your own tree grown on the premises! From November 30 to December 1. 

The Montréal Christmas Village at Atwater Market will amaze visitors of all ages with its fair, outdoor film screenings and countless artisans.
From November 29 to December 22.

Québec City and area
With its traditional European decor, the German Christmas Market of Old Québec offers visitors numerous artisanal crafts and products from Germany and other European countries. You’ll even get the chance to taste Germany’s distinctive mulled wine (glühwein).
From November 22 to December 23, Thursday to Sunday.

Experience a Christmas from yesteryear with traditional music, reels and colourful huts. The artisans of the Marché du Noël d’antan à Cap-Santé await you!
From November 29 to December 1st.

In a setting graced with historic charm, the Marché de Noël du marché du Vieux-Port de Québec will awaken your senses!
From November 21 to January 2.

Eastern Townships
Artisans, artists and agri-food producers display their wares and talent under tents and tepees at Sutton’s Christmas Market.
Weekends from November 30 to December 8.

Noël au marché de la gare de Sherbrooke. This Christmas market offers a human experience for the holiday season, all in a festive atmosphere in the heart of Sherbrooke!
Weekends from November 30 to December 22, Friday to Sunday. 

The Marché de Noël de Lévis will amaze you with its wooden huts, street entertainers and sparkling lights.
From December 6 to 8, Friday to Sunday.

Book a weekend in the Charlevoix area to admire the scenery and discover the Marché de Noël de Baie-Saint-Paul.
From November 30 to December 8, Friday to Sunday.

Head out on the Lanaudière region’s Christmas market route and discover two markets: one at L’Assomption, from November 28 to December 23, Thursday to Sunday, and the other at Joliette. From November 29 to December 23, Thursday to Sunday.

Marvel at the amazing works of Laurentian artisans at Le Noël des métiers d’art de Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts. Street entertainers, carriage rides, Christmas choir, and local foods will abound. See you there!

Exhibitors will welcome you to their illuminated wooden booths at the Village de Noël de Sainte-Thérèse.

Marché de Noël de Laval.
The 8th edition of this Christmas market will be held at the Centre de la nature. No fewer than 70 artisans will be offering quality products outdoor and under a heated tent. The Arts Village will also be transformed to let you experience the magic of Christmas ahead of time. From december 6 to 8.

Experience an authentic Christmas market at the Marché de Noël et des traditions de Longueuil.

Marché de Noël de Marieville. Come discover local products! Features a visit from Santa Claus, carriage rides, traditional dancing and music.

About 20 exhibitors will welcome you to the Marché de Noël de Sorel-Tracy. Features workshops for kids, entertainment, hot chocolate, mulled wine, Christmas cheer, and a cozy fire!

Discover unique creations for holiday gift giving at Christmas in Old-Aylmer. While you’re there, vote for the best-decorated tree, courtesy of the young ones at local daycares!
