Îles-de-la-Paix National Wildlife Area

National wildlife reserve Region: Montérégie

This national wildlife area is a chain of islands stretching over 5 km (3 mi.) in the middle of Lac Saint-Louis, in a highly urbanized and industrialized region southwest of Montréal. Established in 1977, it protects important habitats for waterfowl breeding and staging areas for migratory birds.
