Set in the heart of the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region, this 154-km2 (59-sq.-mi.) national park boasts peaks over 900 m (2,953 ft.) high, spectacular views, and rivers and other bodies of water ideal for hikers, canoeists and fishing enthusiasts. The diverse boreal flora and fauna are sure to delight ornithologists, botanists, mycologists, etc. In winter, skiers are surrounded by the “mummies” and “ghosts” that haunt the snow-covered valleys and windswept mountaintops.
